OnepageCV ("we", "us") is a resume building and tailoring tool available at onepagecv.io. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and honest.
When you upload or paste a resume, its content (your name, contact details, work history, education, and skills) is processed in your browser. Your resume content is stored locally in your browser's storage so you can continue where you left off. If you sign in and save resume versions, those versions are stored in our database (Google Cloud Firestore) linked to your account.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use this to identify your account, store your saved resumes, and track your plan (Free or Pro). We do not receive your Google password.
If you paste a job description to use tailoring or scoring features, it is processed the same way as resume content. When you tailor your resume for a job, an entry is saved to your application tracker ("Jobs") so you can return to it later — this includes the job description, role, company, and your match score. Tracker entries are stored in your browser, and in our database if you are signed in. You can delete any tracked application at any time from the Jobs view.
We track how many times you use each feature (parses, tailoring runs, ATS scores, rewrites) to enforce plan limits. We also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage — pages visited, device type, approximate location. Analytics data is not linked to your resume content.
Payments are processed by Razorpay (and in some regions, Stripe). Your card or UPI details go directly to the payment processor — we never see or store your payment credentials. We store only your plan status, the payment confirmation ID, and the date.
OnepageCV's AI features (parsing, tailoring, scoring, rewriting, fitting to one page) are powered by Anthropic's Claude models. When you use an AI feature, the relevant text — your resume content and, where applicable, the job description — is sent to Anthropic's API for processing and the result is returned to your browser.
We use browser local storage to keep your resume content, draft state, and usage counts on your device. Google Analytics and Firebase set cookies for analytics and keeping you signed in. Blocking these may sign you out or reset your drafts, but the core editor still works.
Resume content in your browser's local storage stays until you clear it (or use a different browser/device). Saved resume versions and account data in Firestore are kept while your account is active.
To delete your account and all associated data, email us at support@onepagecv.io from the email you signed in with. We will delete your account record, saved resumes, and usage data within 30 days and confirm by email.
All traffic to onepagecv.io is encrypted with HTTPS. API keys for AI processing are kept server-side and never exposed to your browser. Access to our database is restricted by authentication rules so users can only read and write their own data.
OnepageCV is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of OnepageCV after changes means you accept the updated policy.
